      Crissy Field had “hangars”, not “hangers”.

      How many miles to walk the bridge – over and back? I live in Fla and I want to come out and walk it…..

      The length of the bridge is 1.7 miles including the approaches. It’s a very do-able walk including a fence protected pedestrian / biking area.

      We can hardly wait to see SF this Labor Day weekend and walk the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Of course, we don’t expect to walk back. The ferry will be another great way to get back.

      Great vacation to San Francisco! The Golden Gate bridge was awesome. I walked about half the length and took awesome pictures of the water below and alcatraz in the distance. First time in San Francisco, and I want to go again!
